Right Choice Day

Today is Right Choice Day. First we lined up outside and went into the Hall where the teachers congratulated us on getting to Right Choice Day. We then went into the activity groups we chose. The activities we could choose  from were: music, technology, computers, science, sport and art. In science we played with Brainbox and made a fan that flew up in the air. Some others made a chemical reaction that was put in a small paper bag and you could eat it. Some people said it tasted like sherbert and it was sour. After interval we went back into our own rooms and played lots of different games. In Room 12 we had giant pick up sticks, Ludo, blocks, brainbox, computer, music keybaord and games that children brought. After lunch the whole team will go into the Hall and watch a movie. I am glad that I made right choices this term and could celebrate this special day.

Art Exhibition

Room 12 made two native birds using feathers and paper.  We also made quilts for a retirement home in Christchurch to make them know we are of thinking of them.

We had an exhibition and on Wednesday the class walked to the church to have a look.  We saw some pictures from Eden Kindergarten and other schools in Feilding.

My favourite part was going inside the church and seeing all of the pictures of birds and the river that this lady artist drew.

Have a look at our photos.

Wordscapes

First we had to draw a picture of anything we wanted.  We had to write the word in the picture of what the picture was.

The word had to take up as much room in the picture.  We then coloured the pictures and words in.

This was a fun and interesting way to draw.  It showed us that there's different ways to do art!

Pikelet time - YUM!!!!

On Friday, for technology we made pikelets with Mrs Clark.
First we had to measure the ingredients and sift them.  Some people struggled cracking the egg but it ended up in the mixture.  We needed to put in all the ingredients and stir it and then we had to put them in the frying pan.
We had to wait until the pikelets bubbled and it was time to flip them.

They were really yummy!
